My question is how to remove links from the parent Epic itself?
(Not asking) How to remove the epic link from a child user story.
Background:
Bulk moved a set of user stories out of a Jira project and into a Jira service desk but now I want to remove the existing epic link which is located in the project while the cards are now in service desk. The service desk user stories no longer have the "epic link" field in the cards. Therefore the only access I have to the connection is in the Epic itself.
Hello @Christina Simpson , if I understand you correctly, you are trying to remove all the "issues under epic" since they are moved to service desk project. So, to achieve this you need to follow few steps.
- Filter for all the epics which you like to remove the stories under them
- Perform a bulk change
- Edit issues
- Change issuetype to "task"
- Once this is done you don't see any issues under your "epic"
- You can repeat the above steps and change the issue back to "epic"
I don't know if there is any easy way to do this, but the above process would work for you.
Best,
Sachin.
