How to remove a "Remote Link" in bulk from projects?

When connected to Jira Align a Jira project establishes a "Remote Link", how do we remove the remote link for all issues in a project without having to go individually?

"Links to" issues don't show up in issue links when we use JQL to search.

Per Atlassian Support:

Thanks for your patience.  I've discussed this internally and it seems that the easiest way for you to bulk clean up those orphaned Jira Align remote links is going to be with the Jira API.

Below is API documentation specific to remote links in Jira cases.  You should be able to use this to clean up your Jira cases in bulk.

I hope that helps.  I understand it would be far simpler if Jira Align automatically cleaned those up when a linked project is removed on the Align side, and I have started some conversations about potentially bringing that up with engineering as a future change.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
