The "Selected for Development" section in the Kanban backlog is unnecessary for our project, how can it be removed from the backlog view to have a single list without any separations?

For Jira's implementation of a Kanban board, the left-most column is the "not started yet" area, and when the Backlog is also in use, both appear in the Backlog view.

I'm not 100% sure, it looks like it's not a section in the backlog, but it's a Sprint. Maybe there is an automation that moves an item to the Sprint if it has "Selected for development" status. Ask some with permissions to edit sprints to double check that.
