I have a field called "Ready" in an issue.
After "Ready" is true, we will pull it to Testing column.
But every time we pull to a new column, "Ready" remains true, easily making other people confuse whether this issue has been tested, or just pulled from "Ready" to test?
Is there anyway to reset that field whenever it moves to a new column?
Hi Harrison,
I'm not entirely sure which type of field you have, but if you'd like to clear or edit a field value on certain transitions, this can be done with post functions in the workflow.
In the workflow editor, click the transition and you should be able to add post functions.
You can read more about advanced workflow configuration here:

Hi Jakob,
Thanks for the suggestion, just wondering if there's other ways to achieve this without being Jira administrator? Like just Board administrator?
Thanks.

Hi again,
If you are not an admin, I would suggest getting in touch with your Jira administrator.
That way they can take a look at your workflow and incorporate the postfunction or other solutions best suited to how your project and workflow is set up.
Alternatively, if you're a project admin and have the Automation for Jira add-on, you can set up a rule that triggers on the specific transition and clears the field.
