We have a lot of Epics that are closed and done. Now we would like to restrict the list of epics in the epic-link field in the Story-issuetype so, that the closed epics cannot used anymore.
Is that possible?
Thanks, Roman
Hi Pillar
Thank you for your hints. But this does not work. I also placed a support-case at Atlassian and they told me, that it's not possible to restrict this field. Please see https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/20/GHS-21323. There are several possibilities for workaraounds, but nothing is really comfortable. The Support-Team placed a Change Request https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-12516.
If anybody else would like to restrict this list, please vote for the request.
Thanks and regards,
Roman
Create a copy of your workflow and edit it to make it non-editable after closure. Then apply this new workflow ONLY to Epic issue type (using workflow schemes)
This should solve your problem.
