How to return a single field for an entire project

I am trying to get all the issue status names for an entire project.  I tried the following, but it doesn't work.  Can someone help me with the syntax?

 

https://issues.apache.org/jira/rest/api/latest/search?jql=project=ZOOKEEPER&fields=status.name

Have you tried "Get all statuses" REST?
