How to search for a specific text string in JIRA Cloud

We have migrated from JIRA Server to JIRA Cloud. When we wanted to search for a specific text string like "Process Generation" looking for only that specific phrase,

we used text ~ "\" Process Generation\"". 

Now when using that same syntax in JIRA Cloud it returns any record that contains either of the words of the phrase along with any record containing the phrase. 

How can we accomplish this string search?
