Hello,
My team and I are administring a Jira Software instance for various projects.
We are facing an issue as we want to apply for every new project a particular issue type configuration scheme. We need to do this automatically, as there is no REST API alllowing to do that, is it possible to set an issue type configuration scheme as the one by default in the Jira Administration ?
Thanks
Benjamin
If you want to create multiple Projects that all use the same schemes, this is built in functionality if you are on a fairly modern version of Jira. I don't recall exactly when this was added, but at least as far back as 7.0.
When you create the new Project, simply select the "Create with shared configuration" link and point to the Project you want to use the schemes from:
Hello Dave,
Thanks for your answer, I've already use this function but it doesn't suit my needs. I think I need to give you more of my context.
We are using the latest version of Jira (8.3) and we need to create those projects via REST API.
As there isn't an API in the v2 allowing us to create a project with Shared Configuration, a good solution was to set an issue type configuration scheme and a field configuration scheme for all new project created in Jira.
