When I type the name of Assignee on JIRA Search for Issues, there is no autocomplete for this fields. There's only shown when I type full the assignee's ID.
Please let me know how to set up it
Thanks
The usual culprit is that you don't have the global permission for "browse users". This affects all the user fields though, so an easy test is to see if the reporter or other user-picker field has the same issue.
This is absolutely confusing. If I gave a user Assign Issues permission, then autocomplete works on the Assignee field INSIDE a task, but autocomplete won't work for the same user in Issue Search (also on the Assignee field). Very strange to have a permission based on location.

It's not location, it's purpose. Assignee is a field. Search parameters are not the same thing, they're questions to ask the user. And they have to be different anyway - the assignee field is limited to "who can be assigned an issue in this project" and the search has to be able to select anyone. However, autocomplete works in the search I've just tried. Where are you not seeing it?

Hi Fabio I don't have this problem. My assignee fields have autofill in Create Issue, but when I search for Issue by Assignee name, this fill isn't autofill. The name of assignee only show up when i type their full ID Do you know how to fix it Thanks, br Yen

Same happens to me. I have a group of users, the group is added to the following Project Roles (I try to keep this group separated from other Projects): Assignable Users, Assign Issues, Edit Issues, Resolve Issues, Schedule Issues, Work On Issues. When I log in with one of these users from the group and edit an Issue, I can assign any user to the issue, and autocomplete works inside the issue. However when I try to search for Issues (Basic mode), the Assignee field does autocomplete only when I entered the full User ID in the field.
