How to show link to a workflow description in Status field in Jira

In Atlassian Jira instance I noticed that an issue (i.e. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/STASH-2521) has a 'View Workflow' link in Status field.

Can anyone to point me how to create such a link for my jira instance? I haven't found this in jira documentation so far.

You have to be using a recent version of Jira.

You need to look in the permission scheme for the project(s) and make sure people fall into the permission "View Read-Only Workflow"
