Hi all,
I have created a kanban bard to visualise the tickets we get on our service desk project. However, I would like to split them by different portal group, and I am unsure how to do this. Can you help?
Thanks,
Gigi
Hi Giorgia,
Is there something that is different about that the issues created under each portal group that could be used in JQL? For example Issue Type or another field?
Hi @John Funk
Mhh, nope, all request types lying in the portal groups above are "tasks". Would you have anything else in mind?

Sure - what I do in cases like that is populate a hidden field. I have created a custom field with a checkboxes type (or you could use a Select list (single choice) field type). I make that field hidden in the Request Form and prepopulate it with a value of Yes. I have ingeniously named the field Generic Yes field. :-)
So when the issues gets created in the Learning Portal, it would populate the field with Yes. Otherwise, if the issue is created in the Procurement portal, the field is empty.
Then you can create swimlanes based on the value of the field. The user never sees the field so it doesn't get in the way. If you have to put the field on a create screen to be able to add it to the Request Form (and I think you do), I just stick it in a Systems tab or another tab that nobody looks at.

@John Funk nice!
Super duper!!! Thanks for taking the time to help out here, really appreciated! I will have a look at how I can do this in the back end - might ping back if I get stuck! Thanks so so so much!

Hi @Giorgia Madella,
What do you mean by "different portal group"? Is it the request types?

@Giorgia Madella
It isn't possible as there is no JQL function to filter by portal group, only querying by request types. There is a feature request for that - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-3472
