How to surface epics and issues within those epics (to move to a new project)?

Sam Hall July 17, 2020

I'm moving from project to project, I need to query for epics (and issues within those epics) and bulk move to the new project.

project = "LI" AND issuetype = Epic and reporter = 1234

The above surfaces the epics reported by myself, but if I bulk move those it won't move the issues, is that corrrect? If so, how do I therefore also select and move the issues within the epics?

Hi Sam, welcome to the Community. Have you attempted this and finding an issue?

If you move an epic you should be presented w/ a screen like below...

keeping things in single thread...

correct, issues don't belong to sprints but rather projects so deleting a sprint won't make issues disappear.

Thanks, Jack.

My error - I was moving too quickly! Sorry. One quick stupid question - if I have an inactive sprint, and delete this - I assume issues  with this inactive-sprint just stay within the project regardless?
