Hello Team,
We are planning to migrate Jira from Server to Cloud and We have Jira cloud instance and having 800GB data in that, How to take the backup of that data and where we can store the data.
Hi Veerla - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I would suggest using a tool from the Atlassian Marketplace such as the Revyz Data Manager for Jira app.
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
I am part of Revyz, given the data size you have, your choice seems to be with third-party apps available in the Atlassian Marketplace. There are a couple of them available:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=backup
As you evaluate each of the options, couple of things to consider:
Does the vendor address your requirements in the following areas:
1. Data Security & Compliance e.g. Is the vendor SOC2 Type 2 certified, do they support your data residency requirements etc..
2. Are your disaster recovery use cases supported
3. Are your change management use cases supported e.g. sandbox to production
4. How well is support provided
5. How is the solution sold
6. How transparent is the vendor
7. Do you need to install any additional software or any other hidden costs
Here is some information on Revyz, you can find our apps in the Atlassian Marketplace here.
Use cases our apps support:
Hope this information is helpful.
Thanks
Vish

Atlassian's shared responsibility model means that regular backup and data protection is your responsibility and there isn't really a way to do with without a third-party app.
