Under "Administration" ➜ "Manage apps" we are able to update the license keys after purchasing a valid license.
My question is; is it possible to add a license key beforehand or should you only enter the key at the day of expiry?
As you can probably tell I am worried that if I enter a new license key too early I will in effect loose some days on the previous license. But I also don't want to wait until the very last second to add a new license.
How does this work? I have never done it before.
Update:
I did update the licenses. When doing so Jira just added another 12 months to the expiry date. In other words:
If your current expiry date says January 1 2020, once you paste in the new key the date will say January 1 2021.
At least this is the case for renewals.
Hi @Shroomy and welcome,
you can add a new license before the expiration of the current one. No day will be lost because it is a renewal.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
