Hi
I am using google sheets to export jira as it has a 5000 ticket level versus 1000 for Jira
However the default google sheets tool has no "all fields" option unlike Jira,
Have tried typing in the field names individually but google sheets returns field not found.
How does one retrieve all fields for all 5000 rows using google sheets?

The Better Excel Exporter app offers the export option called "non-empty fields":
It does what you wanted, and it will not export those fields that would be empty for all the work items in the spreadsheet. If your instance has a lot of unused fields, it will detect and skip the garbage.
Then, you can import the resulted XLSX file to Google Sheets!
(This paid and supported app is developed by our team. Free for 10 users!)
thx but if we were going to use a paid app it wouldn't be this one. We need to use google sheets so the question remains whether its possible and there is some bug with what is currently doing

Hello, Good day. You are following the steps mentioned in the article : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-work-management/docs/use-jira-cloud-for-sheets/ ?

Appreciate the reply but I unfortunately doesn't answer the question or address the issue. I use JQL()
basic fields such as issue key and issue id return "field not found". All custom fields are also "field not found".
- is there a field level security setting preventing certain fields from being visible via google sheets? if so, the link doesn't mention it. Or
-google sheets simply does not support exporting all fields or
-are the field names in JQL() have slightly different spelling vs what Jira exports as field headers?
The link is useful however for someone new.

Thanks Tom. Are you trying to export Team managed project issue or company managed project issues?
