How to view kanban backlog on the server version of JIRA?

I see a lot about the new kanban backlog feature but am unable to figure it out.

But I do see some questions posted in the forums (https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/39983183/is-there-a-backlog-in-kanban) that suggest there is no server version for this feature-- is this true?

+1, I've spent at least half an hour today to figure out that this feature is not available @JIRA Server.

Correct, currently the kanplan feature only exist in JIRA cloud, not on JIRA Server.
