I recently made a descriptive field for issues that says "needs rule activated" there is a drop box with yes or now, i was wondering when selecting "yes" is there a way to automate a comment on the issue to a specific user alerting them that the rule needs to be activated.
Are you on a Server/Data Center or Cloud instance?
You can generally use Jira Automation for notifications. Trigger would either be Issue created or Field Value Changed (depending on the needed time of notification). Who is the "specific user". Is that always the same person?
