Hi there, If we are using Jira for Project Management, what is the best way to create a project or program status report in Jira?
I'm Leo from DEISER and PM of Projectrak.
Projectrak is an app that allows you to set up properties at a project level like status.
It is available on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Do you mean actual project status, or an accumulated view of how a project is generally getting on?

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- Hi there & thank you for the question. We want to use Jira as a project management tool and a way to track work being done. We am looking for an actual status of project with % complete along with project health. We see the Roadmap but are looking for %complete of project issues being Done and if issues are being completed/Done on time within Sprints...Any suggestions or best practices for obtaining this information in Jira?

If you'd said "a simple project status", I'd have said "try project categories first, then reach for Projectrak if you need something more clever than a single project level grouping."
Projectrak could actually do a lot more of what you are looking at than @Leo Diaz - Deiser suggests (Personally, I think Leo might be underselling it here)
I've used the project level fields it provides to do some quite clever things, and since then, Dieser have added more reporting and easier to use fields, amongst other functions. I've not looked at using it to do "issues completed in sprints", preferring to use sprint reporting for that, but can certainly give you reporting on project health, completion/progress, and even financials with a bit of thought.
I would take a bit of a step back though and have a look at all the reporting you want to be doing. There are reporting tools that might give you your project level reports as part of a bigger range of functions (although I can't think of one that would get them as closely related to distinct projects as Projectrak does)
