I am getting all notifications for a project and I'm not watching any issues, how do I stop?

I am a user on a project and since the beginning of the project I receive an email notification for every single issue change. I am not watching any issues and I have my personal setting 'Notifications of your changes' set to 'Do not notify'.

I can't figure out why I am getting notifications without watching any issues, which are now numbering hundreds of emails a day.

My guess would be that you're manually configured on the Notification Scheme linked to that project.

That would bypass most of what you're talking about.

your global administrator may have global settings that are subscribing you if you commented on an issue even if you did not select to watch it.  Find that out,

Also, in your profile you may have selected options that will enable notifications, go to your profile and check your options.   take appropriate action
