I am looking for the sample jql query to exclude few test cases from the result set

I have already fetched all the testcases (xTests) of particular test plan using below jql querry 

ssue in testPlanTests("Test Plan Id").

But in the result set of test cases , I want to exclude such test cases which are 'out of scope'

Is there any sample jql to achive this?

Is it safe to assume you question is about the Xray plugin?

How do you keep track of which test cases are in out of scope? Is this with a status on the test case. Or is there some kind of built-in xray feature for this?
