I am trying to get Jira connected to Active Directory and receiving errors

I am running Jira 7.8.0 trying to connect it to Active directory for authentication.  My quick test runs fine after configuring, and a synchronization works fine also.  However when trying to test the user login, I get the following error

Test user can authenticate : Failed Account with name <nbeck> failed to authenticate: [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C0903C5, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 5, v23f0\u0000]; nested exception is javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C0903C5, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 5, v23f0\u0000]

I can not seem to find any documentation for this error, and I have been searching for the better part of the morning so far with no avail.  Can someone provide any insight or help?

Have you tried appending the domain to the end of your username?

Ex: nbeck@domain.com

username@domainname.com

domainname\username

username
