I set up due date's for my epics, When I navigate to roadmap the timeline's clearly reflect the due date I have setup for these epics

But when I set up due dates for the task's under these epics, the timeline in the roadmap doesnt reflect due date for the task but instead it reflects the sprint time frame

Due date field for the task:

Timeline for the same task in roadmap:

I need this Roadmap to reflect the due dates of my tasks How do we do that?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mohammed,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community, congrats on your first post!

The behavior you mentioned is expected behavior for projects that include Sprints.  The Epic issue type can have independent start and due dates (regardless of sprints) since Epics can span multiple sprints.  However Tasks in Scrum will reflect the sprint they are part of on the Roadmap, since these are smaller pieces of work that do not span multiple sprints.  Additional information related to this can reviewed here:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/schedule-work-for-scrum-teams-on-your-roadmap/

Having said that, there is a request to allow the ability to independently set start and due dates for sub Issues within an Epic to be reflected on Roadmaps for Kanban boards.  That request can be upvoted/monitored at the following link:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18668

Please let me know if I have misunderstood your request in any way and I would be happy to discuss further.

Thanks,

Andy
