I haven't used JIRA for a while. Now if I want to access it in the browser I can't reach it.

Erik Obstfeld June 21, 2018

If I want to access JIRA in Safari via URL it leads to the Tomcat default site. If I try to reach it via IP and Port it opens a blank site.

I don't know what to do, because it worked perfectly fine, I just didn't use it for a while and now it doesn't work anymore.

Anybody know how to solve that?

I installed it on Linux.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely

Erik

Hello Erik,

stop and start Jira and do a tailf on the application log as well as catalina.out, at best using tmux or something similar.

If something is really wrong with Tomcat / Jira the logs should reveal that. You should also check your firewall if someone enable some rules.

Which distribution do you use? Maybe SELinux does interfere with Jira?

Is the JIRA service running? You may want to stop/start it again to see if that could possible resolve your issue.

Hi Bryan,

I tried that several times, but it does not change anything.

If I stop the process, I reach the same site through browser, as if it‘s active.

Thank You for your help.

Erik,

A couple of things could have happened.

1. Do you still remember your username and password

2. You could have been deactivated from the instance hence don't have applications access.

Are you using cloud or server version?

Victor

Hi Victor,

the Problem is, that I could not even reach the Login-Site. I do remember my username and password.

I can't open up the JIRA Homepage. When I try to address it in the browser, it opens the Tomcat default site or a blank page.

I am using the server version. Its installed on my linux root server.

Thanks for your help.

Erik
