I'm using Jira OnDemand and need to easily remove a few users...

What is the easiest way to do this? I don't want to have to migrate projects from one workflow scheme to another in order to change the editable setting, I also am not sure if the user in question has commented on any issues and have read that they cannot have commented on any issues in order to be removed. Please advise. Thank you.

You can try removing their application access in OnDemand. Simply navigate to the applcation access page and untick the user from JIRA. This will prevent the user from logging in, however retaining all history he was a part of (comments, issues, assignee) for auditing purposes. In addition, it will remove this user from your total user count in JIRA.
