I need to customize the output of jira word document.

I need to customize the output of jira word document. Can we do it using the .vm file. If so will the changes done to .vm file would affect to the jira word document format? Please someone help me asap..... thank u vry much.....

Is it the word output for a single issue or a set of search results in the Issue navigator?

There is a new plugin Intelligent Reports that allows you to create template files in word, and then fill them in with JIRA data. This may be an easier solution than trying to modify the .vm files within JIRA itself.
