My account got logged out when I tried to access one of the bugs that I want to start work on. Then I tried to log in as usual, after I entered my email address & my password, I was navigated to two-step auth, which I had never set up with my account before.

I asked the admin for my account, and she said there is no changes had been made and the issue only occurs to my account only. My other teammate's account is perfectly fine.

And then I sent for the recovery link, but the link as expired and I didn't get the chance to do anything. So I tried to send for the recovery link again, and the email I received was for me to click on the link.

I did click on it, and the email used for the recovery link is incorrect. So I attempted to change the email but failed. I'm so frustrated because it required so much effort just to log in to my account.

I tried to install the mobile apps and check for the verification code through my phone, but still failed. Now I'm stuck and I don't know what to do.

Hi @Zulaiha Welcome to the Atlassian Community,

First up: there's three levels of admins (each with a respective control span):

  • project admin
  • product admin (Jira)
  • organizational admin (all Atlassian products)

Depending on the admin you talked to, your access might not be under their control (only the organizational admin determines your product access and how that happens.

Kind regards,
Dick
