I see sprints and projects that belong to other teams, not just my own

Hello All,

When I open the Sprint drop-down in an issue to assign it to a sprint, I get a list of options that contain sprints from other projects. Same thing when I open the project field in a basic search.

The drop-down should display only the sprints that belong to the project in which I am creating the issue.sprint2.PNG

Any idea??

Thanks,

Manikanta.

actuallly this is fine.

Sprints are global objects in JIRA. a board is based on a filter query. if that filter query brings "in" issues that are part of some other sprint, you will see 2 sprints on your board.

so if from the dropdown you select some other sprint , it will show up on your board.

this also means that whatever you do on a sprint on a board that is also on another board can potentially impact that board/teams.

hope this helps..

Sprints do not belong to projects, they're created by boards.  The list of possible sprints is created by the sprints that are from boards that might include the issue.
