I tried to setup Jira and got an error on account creation
"Something went wrong on our side"
Tried it with two free account names and with different browsers already. No change.
What else can I do?
Thank you for help!
Dear both, thanks for your replies and suggestions!
I tried all that but ended up like you, @Kasia Szczakiel . Due to the facet, that I also have no Atlassian address, I wonder if someone from the support observes the discussion here and will respond.
Hi there @Volker Arnold 👋,
The error message “Something went wrong on our side” typically points to a temporary backend issue or a conflict during the account setup process. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
✅ Steps to Try:
Still Not Working?
If none of the above helps, I recommend contacting Atlassian Support directly:
Even for free accounts, you can raise a technical issue under “Troubleshooting Account Issues”, and the team is usually very responsive with access problems.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi @Sami Shaik ,
I have the same problem since yesterday, and I tried your solutions (thx for them!), but nothing seems to work :/
And to raise a case with support I have to provide url of my site, which obviously I don't have.
@Volker Arnold did you have more luck maybe?

Hi all,
I ran into a similar problem today that I cannot contact support due to a missing site URL, which in my case suddenly got deleted due to inactivity, whuch I would like to restore.
Have you perhaps found a way to get through to support?
Regards,
Petra
