I want to add a person to a project with view only permissions

Hi everybody!

I'm trying to add a new person to the project (the customer actually) which should be allowed only to see stuff, but when adding this new person the only Role which I can choose is as "Administrator", which is not what I want. So how can I create a new user role  and how to configure the permissions for this new role?

Hi  @vsergione 

To define a new project role:

1. Choose the Jira icon ( , , , or ) > Jira settings > System.
2. Under SECURITY, select Project roles. ...
3. Under Add Project Role at the bottom of the page, enter your desired role's name and a description.
4. Click the Add Project Role button.

In your favorite project you can add your new person to this role (new role) and then in permission scheme of your project just in browse project add the new role.
