I want to add a user to JIRA so he can only have view access to few tasks only in a project

The scenario will be:

I want to give the client access to my jira project.

He should only be able to view that particular project.

He should not be able to view all the tickets in the project. Just a few tickets should be accessible to him so he can view their status i.e. To Do, In progress etc.

You would need to introduce security levels:
