I want to bulk update differnt user stories with differt lables for each
Ex: I want to update
key1 with label1
Key 2 with label 2
Key 3 with label 3
I am.manuallh.opening each user story and updating with lables but is there any way j can bulk achieve pls ?
The reason why we want to do this is, we want to track area who raised this request and we serve multiple areas, with the help.of reporter we want to update labels.. I understand having multiple lables will be difficult to.maintain in future but we need this. Thanks
I under that you want to update the label based on the Reporter across multiple issues. If reporter is the criteria for updating the labels then, I believe this can be achieved using automation
Something similar can be used
pls check if this helps
Hi Ayesha,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community
I would assume that you have already added the labels field in your Jira - you can try doing this.
Run a JQL report and search for all issue Key 1 that has to be labeled with label1 once you have all issue you can click on bulk edit >> make change >> look for change Label >> change Label with >> select Label1
I hope this helps you with bulk editing issues and adding labels.

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also allows bulk editing via copy/paste - within JXL, but also between JXL and pretty much any other app. Combined with JXL's other advanced features, like for example issue grouping, you should be done with your work in no time.
This is how it looks in action:
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
