I want to conditionally branch by task type when creating issue.

When creating the issue, I would like to apply the input conditions of the specific field only to the specific task type.

Challenge Type XXX
When 1111 is selected in the AAA field
Only 2222 available in BBB field


3333 selected in AAA field
Only 4444 available in BBB field

task type BBBB
No condition specified

If it is possible to write a custom script validator, please let me know how to write it.

You have two possibilities,

1. You create a custom field limited to the scope of issue type
   • this will solve your problem of limiting field to specific task types.
   • but the problem of limiting option of second field based on first will not be possible.
2. You create a custom field plugin or use something like `cascading field plugins`
   • If you create your own plugin (most versatile option)
     
     • you can control options via Javascript.
