I want to report on the progress of a sub-set of stories in a Next Gen project

Ed Johnson September 8, 2022

But reports like "Epic Burndown" are not available for scrum boards in next gen project apparently.

So - are there any alternative to report on the progress of a subset (defined by a common epic or label) of stories, across all sprints, within a scrum board on a next gen project?

I've found I can see a pretty good visual/status of an epic by simply clicking on the epic on the "Roadmap" page.

Hi @Ed Johnson

If you are fine with a mktplace app, you can try out the add-on my team built.

It will help to track the progress at each hierarchy level in your next gen projects.

Issue Hierarchy Reports

Key features of the app are as follows:

  • Epic Hierarchy :- View/Manage roll up for standard Jira hierarchy. Epic -> User Story/Task -> Subtask
  • Links/Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps Hierarchy :- View/Manage roll up for hierarchy (up to 10 levels), based on your Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps/Issue Links parent child relationship.
  • Progress % on "remaining estimate" or "original estimates"
  • Rolled up percentage completion at all levels
  • Ability to add/remove the columns on the report
