We have had our current projects stood up for ~20 months. As one could imagine, we have a good bit of automation in place, some of which calls out specific projects by name/key. We are now preparing for a rather significant reorg of our development teams, and we're faced with needing to change our project names and keys. We know that doing so will re-index all the work we have associated with each project... but my concern at the moment is the automation.
If we have automation specifically intended to affect a single project, will the re-indexing process also affect the project name/key specified in the automation, or will we have to edit the automation to make those changes manually?
This is our first forray into these types of changes, and we aren't quite sure what to expect.
If the automation is set to "Single Project", the automation should work as expected after the change on the project key. It is important to mention that if there are conditions or JQL inside your automation rules that refer to the old project key, those will NOT be updated and will need to be updated manually.

Eugenio
