If I delete an issue type from my project, will it delete from all of Jira?

I created a new project and it defaulted with the issue type of Task.  We don't want this issue type in this particular project.  However, I'm afraid if I delete it from the project, it will delete from all projects.

Hello @Angel

If you delete the issue type, it will be removed from your jira instance. I would recommend creating a new issue type scheme with your prefered issue types and associate it with your new project.
