We use JIRA to manage users, groups, & permissions in Confluence. We have JIRA configured to use Active Directory (AD), so that a user is created automatically upon the first login to JIRA, based on their Active Directory record.
For the Confluence User Profiles, we'd like to import these fields into Confluence from Active Directory:
We'd like to know if it's possible to do these actions:
1) For Existing users, run a manual import to update Confluence User Profiles with data from Active Directory for all of the above fields
2) For New users, automatically import these fields in Confluence when a new user is created
It seems like #2 would be impossible, because it is JIRA, not Confluence, that creates new users, and the JIRA User Profile does not contain all those fields (I believe it just contains Name, Email, Avatar).

Hi Michele, as it turns out this is not possible at the present time, however I have created a request to enable the application to import from a CSV here. Please add you concerns to the ticket to expand the feature and increase its relevancy.
Cheers
Michele,
There is the following outstanding feature request that may be relevant to your interests.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-21982
Looks like it has been around since 2006. There do appear to be a couple recent links to Internal Atlassian pages. They could be entertaining the idea, but too little data to tell.

Hi! The [Bulk User Upload AddOn|https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.artemistech.confluence.plugins.bulkuserupload] makes it easy to import users from a CSV file and has now been updated to the latest version of Confluence.
Actually I might need to figure out a away to add the Avatar, but the rest of it is in place :)
