Hi There,
I am struggling with one thing. I have created a custom field in Jira, Checkbox type, and instead of inputting one by one the "Value" of the checkbox (as i have over hundred of them), i need to find a way to import the more than 100 values as checkbox option into an existing field from an Excel file (i have the Excel file). I read somewhere to use csv format which i dit but it's not working. It keep asking me "SUmmary missing" or somehting like that.
And i dont even mind creating a new custom field with a different name, but just want this over hundreds of checkbox values to be imported automatically (it's a list of suppliers i have). Thanks for your help
Hi @Hussein K_ .
Good Day!
Instead of adding values to a custom field one by one, you can use the 'Bulk import custom field values' option in the Scriptrunner for Jira plugin.
To do this, select 'Bulk import custom field,' choose the name of the custom field configuration scheme, add all 100 values in 'Values to import,' and then click 'Run.' All values will be successfully imported under the custom field."
Regards,
kumar

Hi @Hussein K_ ,
In the Atlassian Marketplace, we have the ScriptRunner plugin, which offers a 'Try it free' option. Please check the URL below; it will redirect you to the Marketplace.
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/6820/scriptrunner-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
After Installing it, follow the below steps:
To do this, select 'Bulk import custom field,' choose the name of the custom field configuration scheme, add all 100 values in 'Values to import,' and then click 'Run.' All values will be successfully imported under the custom field."

Kumar

if you are using external systems import then summary needs to be specified.

Hi Vishal,
External system... nope, just an Excel sheet with the list of the suppliers.
ANd thats my problem, woudl you have a template of the CSV taht shows me how to specify the SUmmary... and by the way, what does that relate to ? When I create a field, i don't remember having to specify a "Summary...". I just want those over 100 checkbox values to be imported automatically
Thanks again for your support
