Hi, I was wondering if there are any general performance improvement guides out there for Jira.
Our page load times for Jira are around 7-9 seconds and 8-10 for confluence.
For Jira we are using a dedicated machine.
We have a 2 processor Intel 2.4 ghz VM with 8 GB of Ram.
Only Jira is installed as a standalone tomcat app.
We have 20 projects and some with as many as 500-700 issues so not very large.
Jira uses the same SQL server as Bamboo, Crowd and Confluence.
Our Java memory settings are -XX:MaxPermSize=384m -Xms256m -Xmx768m but all the memory graphs show 35-50 percent free.
The SQL server is also a virtual machine with 2 dual core processors 2.4 ghz and 16gb of ram.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
I was told that for 8GB of RAM that I should have the values in setenv.sh set to at least -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m. ALso have you tried to go to the caching analizer tool? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Cache+Performance+Tuning
Hi,
Have you tried this steps? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/JIRA+Performance+Tuning
