Current situation:
I am receiving bunch of emails for every change someone does in an issue. If the issue is changing rapidly (eg description has changed 10 times during 15 minutes period due to unforseen circumstances) I will receive 10 separate emails. Considering im subscribed to BUNCH of issues, It is a pain in the ass to go through all of those emails in my mailbox.
Expected:
I would like to setup a timly notification, like "15m", "1h" or even "1d" notification changes. How can I do this? Is there any way to do this?
Side note: I am not willing to create sophisticated filters as sugested in https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-send-one-bulk-notification-at-end-of-day/qaq-p/403251 thread. This is way too complicated for such basic stuff and I would need to update the filter way too often. I'm not also sure if it will stop spammig me with emails about issues im currently subscribed to.
Hi @Marcin
If you are using Jira 8 you can use the new feature called "Batching email notifications" you can find more info here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjira/batching-email-notifications-960702680.html
If you are using Jira 7 you can use this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217383/email-notifications-digest?hosting=server&tab=overview
Hope this helps!
Hi @Marcin
If you are still using JIRA 7.X it is not possible.
As of JIRA 8 the functionality has changed so that all changes are grouped in 1 mail (10 minute window) https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-8-0-x-release-notes-957981626.html#JiraSoftware8.0.xreleasenotes-emails
