In jira 4.2 when trying to move bulk issues it shows the below error

The value of this field must be changed to be valid in the target project, but you are not able to update this field in the target project. It will be set to the field's default value for the affected issues.

these fields are custom fields which were mandatory, tried below options still it is persisting

1.I have made fields non mandate in target

2. created a seperate field configuration in target

Could you pls guide, as it is very urgent

But this is strange because the bug was fixed in 4.2 JIRA. Are you running an EAP version by any chance?

Is it possible to upgrade the instance?
