We have a self-hosted version of Jira Software and we recently upgraded the version to Jira 8.19.
When we export a CSV file from our instance fields such as Created, Updated, Resolved shows the correct date as displayed in Jira. But we have other custom fields (Only Date Picker type - Not Date-time), these fields show up in the exported CSV file incorrectly.
For example - Our Custom field shows the date as 13/Aug/2021 in the Jira application but the exported CSV file shows the date as 12/Aug/2021 06:30:00PM.
All the records show the previous date with the "06:30:00PM" time.
This is applicable to all date type custom fields and the due date field as well (so basically all Date-Picker type fields)
Can anyone assist me in solving this?
Not sure what exactly to recommend about this situation, but might it have something to do with time zones?
Is it possible that your server uses a specific time, your browser uses a +6:30 time zone and there is some setting in the Jira profile that doesn't reflect the different time zones (i.e. UTC vs India time)? Try doing some investigations around that.
Hello @Tharindu Dinuth Maddumahewage
Di you have any response for this error? Is there any way to resolve it?
Best regards

Hello @Barcelo [Administrator] and @Tharindu Dinuth Maddumahewage,
The mentioned problem looks similar to known defect JRASERVER-72382. According to the description, this defect was introduced as regression stating from Jira 8.16 and affects CSV exports (HTML and XML are not impacted).
It appears to be fixed already (starting from Jira 8.20.4), so upgrading to this or a higher version should help you to prevent this problem.
Hope this helps!
Alexander
