Installation JIRA Software 7.9 on RedHat Enterprise 7

The installation was successfully but the service failed to running.  if we try to running manually, we get permission denied error message.  please help, what should we do?

Hi Andy,

please could you provide us more information about your issue? Please, attach here catalina.out log file (form INST_JIRA/log folder).

You talk about permission denied so I assume that user that you use to start service has not grants to operate on JIRA INST and HOME folder.

Try to run this command before starting JIRA :

chown -R YOUR_USERNAME:root /YOUR_JIRA_INST_PATH

chown -R YOUR_USERNAME:root /YOUR_JIRA_HOME_PATH
