We recently noticed that a new field has been added without prior approval. Could you kindly help us to know who created the value 'EGGIU' in the GBU Name custom field?

Hi @Stefan Stadler - I tried to find the author; however, the results do not contain any information about the specific field value update or creation. Is there another way to find the author?

I am not aware about any other method besides looking in the audit log.

To know who created the customer field you can search in audit log as Custom field created
Settings > system > audit log and search for Custom field created
To know who added the value to this custom field via settings > work items > custom field > edit context and default value like below
navigate to Settings > system > audit log and search for
Field option created |

you can check the Audit Log for field activity. This should bring information similar to the following screenshot:
The Author is showing the person who did the change.
