Is 'Advanced Roadmaps' only available in Jira Cloud? Is it available in Jira Server?

If it is available in Jira Server, will that version allow for tracking a hierarchy like - Theme -> Initiative -> Epic -> Story -> Sub-task, with the ability to roll %Complete all the way up to Theme and show this graphically?

Standard Roadmap is only available in Jira Cloud

Advanced Roadmaps is included in Jira Cloud Premium and Jira Data Center without the need to install it separately.

For Jira Server, if you already have an Advanced Roadmaps Plugin License for Server, then you can continue using it and you have 2 options:

1- Continue using your existing Jira Server product and the plugin

2- Upgrade your Jira Server product to newer versions ( >=8.15) and use the bundled version of Advanced Roadmaps (no need to install the plugin separately). The bundled version has all the new features.

If you don't have an Advanced Roadmaps Plugin License for the Server, then you cannot buy it anymore and need to upgrade your license to Data Center.

For your second question:

Yes, in Advanced Roadmaps you can define a customized issue-level hierarchy and the progress is rolled all the way up.

you are right - you would need to change to Jira Software Data Center first. There is no opportunity since last February anymore to get a new license for 'Advance Roadmaps' on Jira Server.

The basic roadmap is only available in Jira Software Cloud. Advanced Roadmaps is now part of Jira Software Data Center. Previously Advanced Roadmaps was available as a standalone app for Data Center but as of February 2, 2021, it is included with your subscription to Jira Software Data Center.

In Jira Software Server there is no Roadmap in that sense built-in.
