Is JIRA 7.2.12 compatible with MSSQL 2016?

I see from this documentation that JIRA 7.2.12 is showing compatibility with MSSQL 2012 and 2014.  Any chance the documentation is not up to date where JIRA 7.2.12 would work with MSSQL 2016?

official support for Microsoft SQL Server 2016 was introduced in Jira 7.9
