Is There Any Way to Reorder Sections in JIRA?

We would like the "Description" section to be above the "Details" section. Is there any way to do that within JIRA or is that order locked down? 

We're currently using JIRA 6.3.14, but hope to upgrade to current sooner than later. Having this feature in the newer release might help push us to current even sooner.

No, it doesn't allow that. You'd have to modify the source code and maintain that modification going forward, As with any modification, the location may change with a release.

Natively, NO you cannot do them but YES there is a way and Joe's second sentence is the answer.
