Is it a good idea to edit the GreenHopper Scrum IssueType scheme?

Deleted user October 17, 2011

We need to add a couple of our own issue types to the JIRA Studio instance we run on. While I can see that I can edit the existing issue type scheme, I was just wondering if that is a good idea.

The only worry I have is, what if in case of an update from JIRA Studio, My scheme get overwritten or develops any issues.

Is there a way so that I continue to use Scrum Template in GH even if I'm not using the above issue type scheme?

Hi Nikhil,

There is no danger in editing the issue type scheme. The changes will be stored and are not overwritten. I can understand if you would like to have an additional assurance of this.
It is not possible to associate the scrum template with another issue type scheme but you are able to create a new scrum template in GH and associate this template with a custom issue type scheme.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Cheers,
Bas
