Is it okay to upgrade from JIRA 6.1.2 to 6.3.15?

Heidi Fernandez March 16, 2015

Is it better to upgrade to each major release, 6.2, then 6.3, and then 6.3.x?  or is it okay to just go from 6.1.2 to 6.3.15?  I also need to upgrade Confluence from 5.1 and Fisheye and Crucible from 3.2.2.  Does it matter what order the upgrades are in?  We also use Crowd.

JIRA 6.anything to 6.3 (or even 6.4 when it's out) is absolutely fine.  Most versions of Atlassian software work fine with the others as long as the release times are not too far apart, and I wouldn't expect any problems mixing any verisons of JIRA 6.x, Confluence 5.x and Crucible 3.x together.  I would check the release notes for each version you're thinking of using.
