Is it planned that Jira/Atlassian support OAuth2 in the future?

I've gone ahead and created a feature request for OAuth 2.0 support with JIRA:

I'd suggest watching and voting on the issue.

when OAuth 2.0 will be implemented for JIRA REST API, I still see in their docs that its showing OAuth2.0 will not work for JIRA REST API.
