Is it possible adding fields to Board view?

I would like to add the field "Parent" to the Board (attached screenshot)

Hi @rtamam, yes, if I understand your question correctly. (There is no screenshot in you answer though).

You can add up to maximum three fields in a card on any board.

In the upper right corner click on the ellipsis menu and select configure board.

In the Configure Board screen select Card layout from the left menu, and the press Add field.

In Scrum boards you can add fields to both the backlog and the Active Sprint view (shown in image below).

Find the field you want on the card, e.g. "Parent", and press Save.

When you return to your board you shild see values for Parent on the cards.

Thanks a lot for the quick response.

I have Board Settings only in Jira Software.

Is it possible adding it in Jira Work Management?

Hi @rtamam, there is possible to add fields to cards in Work Management, but currently not the Parent field though.

The lack of Parent field is related to this feature request [JWMCLOUD-341] Add group by epic to board view - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

A workaround might be to create custom field and automations rule which sets this field equal to the Parent system field. A rule for issue created and a rule for handling changes to the parent field.

In this example I created a customfield manded "Parent2", but you might find a better more suitable name.
